About

Lacey Parks, Culture & Recreation serves the community by providing health, inspiration and recreation opportunities through quality programming, facilities and community events.  In addition, the department furthers the preservation and enhancement of the environment through planned parks, open spaces and natural habitat areas. Lacey Parks partners with North Thurston Public Schools, Senior Services for South Sound, Lacey South Sound Chamber and others to provide services to the community.

Lacey Parks offers a full spectrum of recreation services and activities for youth, teens and adults, including aquatics, sports, cultural, fitness, outdoor, teen and youth programs, day camps and special park events.

Lacey Parks also rents spaces for special occasions, gatherings and for athletics.  Some of the department’s facilities include the Regional Athletic Complex, Lacey Community Center, the Lacey Museum, and the historic Jacob Smith House and outdoor performance stage at Huntamer Park.
