Civil Rights and ADA Accommodations

The City of Lacey encourages participants to make requests at least 20 days before the event or program to allow time to make the arrangements.

Specialized Recreation Programs

Lacey Parks, Culture & Recreation provides special services programs to area residents in cooperation with Thurston County Parks and Recreation. These programs strive to meet the needs of people with diverse abilities. For more information, please contact Thurston County Parks and Recreation at 360-786-5595. Gender Equity Policy

The City of Lacey does not discriminate against any person on the basis of gender in the operation, conduct, or administration of community athletic programs or sports facilities. Any citizen who feels she or he has been the victim of discriminatory treatment in violation of this policy should report this concern to the Parks, Culture & Recreation Manager.

Refund Policies

If you have registered for a program that must be canceled by Lacey Parks, Culture and Recreation prior to the start of the program, you will be contacted and entitled to a full refund.

Refunds are issued in the form of the original method of payment. Cash refunds will be processed by check to the person listed as the primary guardian of the household account. Refunds for children linked to more than one household account will be issued to the primary guardian of the household account in which the class registration was originally processed.

Refunds will not be issued for events or programs meeting 3 times or fewer, or for sport leagues/tournaments once the draws have been made.

Program withdrawal or changes requests will not be accepted via email or online at this time. Such requests must be made over the phone or in-person at City Hall. Unless otherwise noted, refunds– less costs incurred– will be given if the following criteria are met.

Classes
Program cancellation or change requests are not accepted via email, please call our office for these transactions. Unless otherwise noted, refunds, less costs incurred, will be given if notified:
Notification given 2 business days prior to 1st class = 100%
Less than 2 business days prior to 1st class = 75%
After the first class = 50%
After the 2nd class = 0%

Trips and Tours
Unfortunately, we are not able to make exceptions for sickness, personal emergencies or no-shows. You may substitute another person at any time before the day of the trip or tour without a penalty. Please contact our office to make the substitution. Trips go rain or shine. Please note, our vans are not ADA accessible and have very limited storage space.

Notification given 7 or more days prior to the trip: = 100% less any fees incurred.
Less than 7 days = 0%

Day Camps
Notification given by 5pm Thursday prior to the week of camp = 100%
After the 1st camp day = 50%
After the 2nd camp day = 0%
No refunds for camp violation or dismissal
