Scheduling Policies & Facility Use Rules

Below is a summary of the topics discussed in detail in the sports fields packet available for download. The packet goes into much greater detail on these topics:

• Prioritization Guidelines – When there are conflicting requests there are guidelines in place for which request is given priority. In general the priority order for conflicting reservation requests is:
  • First: City of Lacey/NTPS Programs or co-sponsored programs
  • Second: Private League/Non-Profit Organization
  • Third: Private Group Event & Others
• Insurance Requirements – Just like many event venues, to rent and use NTPS or City of Lacey Fields, your organization must have comprehensive general liability insurance coverage. Specific insurance requirements are in the guide.
• Deposits, Payments & Cancellation – There are specific rules and payment schedules based on whether a field is the City’s, NTPS’s or RAC’s as well as additional guidelines for ongoing leagues versus tournaments or single events. Consult the guide to know which rules apply to your reservation.
• Selling, Vending & Fund Raising – Selling products or food, auctions, or any other fund-raising activity at fields and parks is restricted and requires prior written approval from the City of Lacey Parks, Culture and Recreation Director. Instructions for how to make a request are in the guide.
• Rules & Regulations Onsite – The Rules and Regulations are in place to preserve the integrity of the facilities and in the best interest of all users. Each athletic facility requires special consideration to remain in the best possible condition. While there is some overlap in rules between facilities, there are rules unique to each location as well as to event types (like tournaments) that are spelled out in detail in the guide.
