Statement Of Significance appears to have been one of the earliest modern style houses in an area of Little Chamber’s Prairie which was primarily dairy, hay and poultry farms until intense suburban housing development began in the late 1930’s. This house appears to be clearly associated with suburban expansion and exhibits typically modern, although modest, housing features. Physical Description An example of typical depression-era domestic building style which includes “minimal traditional” features that reflect the traditional eclectic styles popularized earlier in the century but lack the decorative detailing and scale. Distinctive features include; side gable and symmetrical form, central/prominent entrance porch, variegated siding, medium-low roof pitch with close eaves and rake. Sash alterations to characteristic corner windows. New side entrance porch and ramp.
