Statement Of Significance According to the Thurston County Assessor on-line records the house was constructed in 1901. The building has lost integrity to its original construction date. Most of the windows have been replaced. An addition was constructed at the northeast part of the house. Thurston County permit records also show that a patio was added in 1987, and an internal remodel occurred in 1998. The house is not known to be associated with any historically important events or persons. The building is not the work of a master architectect, nor does it add significant information to our understanding of historic residential areas of the 1950s in the City of Lacey. For these reasons, we recommend the building not eligible for listing in the NRHP. Physical Description The building, situated on a .20-acre lot at 1328 College Street, was built in 1901. It is a single story house with a small attic story. The building features a double side-gabled roof with asphalt shingles, closed eaves, and irregularly-shaped vergeboard with a louvered vent. The building also displays lapped exterior siding and a concrete foundation. An addition was constructed on the northeastern part of the house. A more modern, small building with a gabled roof is located behind the house (east side of house). A wooden fence surrounds the backyard. The building was possibly a farmhouse originally with much more associated land than the small lot on which it currently sits.
