Ages 4-14 • $5 per child
Head to Woodland Creek Community Park and fish with the family April 20th. Kids will have 30 minutes to explore fishing information, water safety, and more. Then head over to the pond for one hour of fishing time. Volunteers will be onsite to help teach fishing basics and assist the kids in catching their first fish!
Pre-registration required. Registration includes a rod and reel for you to keep!

How do I register for the Fish In?
Register online! Registration is $5 per child and includes a rod & reel for you to keep.
Children ages 4-14 are eligible to register and fish.
Available time slots include: 8-9:30am, 9:30-11am, 11am-12:30pm, and 12:30-2pm.
This is a family event. Adults must be accompanied by a child. Children must be accompanied & supervised by an adult.
How do we get to the Fish In?
The Fish In is at Longs Pond in Woodland Creek Community Park.
Click on the map below for directions. Once you arrive at the park, look for signs to direct you to check in.
What can we expect at the Fish In?
Lot’s of family fun!
Families will have 30 minutes to explore fishing information, water safety, and more. After 30 minutes, head to the pond for an hour of fishing time.
Volunteers will be onsite to help teach fishing basics and assist kids in catching their fish! Families that catch a fish can have it cleaned to take home.
Can we stay and fish after our registered time?
Yes!
Families are welcome to stay and fish outside of the netted area after their hour has passed.
Longs Pond is a juveniles-only (14 yrs and under) water with a year-round open fishing season. Some species you might catch: bluegill, common carp, largemouth bass, rainbow trout, yellow perch.
Will we catch a fish?
We cannot guarantee that you will catch a fish, but you have a pretty good chance!
During the fish-in, kids will fish in a netted area where fish have been planted. There will also be knowledgeable volunteers to help with every aspect of the fishing experience!
If you don’t catch a fish during your hour at the fish-in, don’t worry! Kids can fish at Long’s Pond year-round.
